Over my six years as an ICPAK Council Member, I have led transformative initiatives that strengthened the Institute’s financial health, member services, and governance. As Convenor for Finance and Strategy, I championed early CPA Centre loan repayment, saving ICPAK millions through cost-cutting measures. I enriched the CPD calendar with virtual trainings and expanded national events, introduced multiple licensing options for practitioners, and enhanced benevolent fund benefits to better serve members. Through the Diaspora Affairs Committee, I opened new pathways for members abroad, building strong linkages within the global accounting community. I also initiated the Wapi Nduru capacity-building program in collaboration with UNDP, EACC, and Amnesty International, training over 400 accountants on safe whistleblowing and leading to the establishment of ICPAK’s official whistleblower protection policy. I remain committed to promoting integrity, accountability, and sustainable growth within the profession.
